Fun at the Park

 Not much better than a sunny Sunday afternoon at the park....especially after our many cold/windy/cloudy/rainy weekends. She tells me she's "doing gymnastics" when she's on the bleachers...I'm thinking we might need to find a gymnastics program for her to try out soon:)

Cousins & hair....

Claire was pretty enamored with her big cousins Tehgann and Cohen, during their brief visit to the island- and particularly impressed with Cohen's paper plane making skills.

We found a little field of flowers under a tree on Christmas Hill last night, which we thought may have had some fairies hanging out in it. She begrudgingly posed for a few photos, although a couple of these may have required the bribe of a skittle when we got home.

This, folks, is what you get when you promise this girl a skittle:) Worth it, I think.

Just some of the many expressions I get from my scruffy little gal, morning hair and all. The speed with which her moods changed this morning should have been a warning for me (see March 17th in my 365!). It was an argumentative, oppositional kind of day. When asked why she was so grumpy, she would exclaim "that's not a reason!" (apparently something I've said to her in past:). Fortunately I still got my "I love you momma" before she went to sleep. (not so long ago she told me "I love you, even when you're cranky at me". Me too, my girl.)

This was how our day started, and pretty much how it ended. These days make me appreciate what a happy, fun kid she usually is:)

Playdates & shoes...

We had a little playdate today with Marley and Mila from Claire's baby group (so hard to believe we met these girls 3 years ago!), and Marley's little sister Tabitha, at Marley's gorgeous new home. The photographer in me was having serious envy over the light- oh the light, and their beautiful private yard tucked away in View Royal. A fun afternoon for all.
