Jolly jumping

Claire tried out the jolly jumper for the first time yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed her newfound freedom to turn and jump- she's a bit of a daredevil this girl!

Four months and a trip to Vancouver

Claire turned four months last week- hard to believe! She had a visit with her great-Aunty June, and then headed over to Vancouver for her first ferry trip to visit some friends and check out the paralympic activities. After a visit with Karen and Colin (hurrah- a baby bigger than her!) she checked out the cauldron and zip-line, and had a visit with Andrea, Jeff and their twins Daphne and Tessa, who provide much of Claire's fashionable wardrobe.

Learning to Play

Despite having her first cold, Claire has been having fun playing- checking herself out during tummy time, finding her hands (and eating them), and playing peek-a-boo through her blankie. When she isn't busy playing she's just hanging out looking pretty cute.

Claire cheers for Canada

Claire was feeling patriotic tonight cheering for the Canadian women who medalled today and our men's hockey team!

Hanging out

Claire has truly discovered her voice and is enjoying squealing and yelling at us- especially when we're not responding fast enough to her requests! We get lots of comments on her cheeks while out and about- the poor girl is going to suffer a few cheek pinchings from strangers, I'm afraid.

Three months!

We can't believe our little gal is already 3 months old. She's continuing to grow- already wearing some 6 month clothes! She's starting to enjoy books and loves playing on her mat and 'talking' to the animals on it. Claire's not big on napping at home yet so she and mom spend lots of time out walking so she'll snooze in her baby bjorn carrier- this mild winter may be wreaking havoc for the Olympics but it's working for us!
